Applying for your practical test

You need to apply to take your practical driving test with your local driving test centre.

You can do this online on gov.uk, but we strongly recommend you don’t apply for your test until your TDT Instructor thinks you’re ready.

Your TDT Driving Instructor can also arrange your test date for you, if you want them to.
